Welcome to the Team Harrison HQ Blog

Photos: Angie washing hair on bed rest - who needs a shower?!

Welcome to the new Team Harrison HQ Blog! This is my first official bed rest project dedicated to all things Team Harrison. In the future, this will be THE PLACE to get updates on Angie, Brad and baby Elvis (currently in utero but not for long).

Highlights of the Week (June 29 - July 5th)

The Bed Rest Blues
As most of you know, I was admitted to Lenox Hill Hospital on Friday, June 27th and have been sentenced to complete bed rest in the hospital for the rest of my pregnancy. Except for the bed pan and my roommate who sounds like Janice from Friends, it's not too bad. I've managed to do the following in the past week:
  • Catch up on celebrity gossip (In Touch, Us Weekly, People, Star, etc)
  • Read "Escape", which I recommend. It's about the crazy FLDS polygamist cult and a woman who is forced to marry a 50 year old man when she was 18, becoming his 4th wife and then having 8 kids in 15 years!
  • Watch Juno, Knocked Up and Kite Runner
  • Hire an "intern" off of craigslist to deliver my Starbucks decaf iced coffee and NY Post every morning
  • Find someone to give me a manicure/pedicure/eyebrow wax in my hospital bed
  • Get some "real" AHA work done and prepare to take my leave a little earlier than expected

Dear Bed Ridden Cousin,
I feel for your plight! I am pleased to hear of your recent hair washing, and general primping. I am MOST pleased to learn of your husband's devotion to the cause, and much support for Team Harrison.

Nextly, on the upside, How may I count the ways in which a Leo child will be superior to a Virgo child? There is NO COMPARISON! If you are going to have an "Elvis", and you are! Then LEO is simply the only sign to be born under, so let us chalk this one up to fate, and get ready to celebrate this August birth.
A Leo is Magnanimous, Outgoing, Spectacular and Self Centered! (see how I sandwiched that last thing with fantastic qualities)? Ask not what you can do for your Leo, because your Leo is Generous of spirit, and will delight in giving to you. A loyal and true nature is the hallmark of the Leo. Let us not forget the sunny disposition of the Sunniest sign of all (unless you piss them off!) Elvis will join the Leo family ranks of such greatness, we will never look back!

Also Leos know almost everything about everything and aren't afraid to share their wealth of knowledge. Did you know that? In fact, they seek out opportunities to "give." Don't be afraid.

So we must prepare to celebrate this upcoming occasion with glee and delight, for another August birth! And so thankful for the modern medical technology!
Hang in there!!!!!! You can do it!!!!
Love, ur Cousin, Laurie (august 21)

Angie,

How are you doing, sweetie! I had no idea that you were at the hospital already. It looks like you are enjoying being pampered on! That is great that so many people love you (including me). I hope everything is going great thus far and you are enjoying the end of your pregnancy. I know you are going to be so thrilled when Elvis arrives.

Love ya' bunches,

Jenn Sills-Almeida

Hi Angie! It's been years since I've seen you face to face, but Facebook and updates from Vanessa have kept me updated on your adventures in pregnancy. I wish you the very best, and I must second that comment about you managing to look beautiful despite it all. Good luck!! Adriana
